Interested in Moroccan rugs, textiles, and Berber art ?
If you’re in Marrakech, you’re in for a treat. Start with the Dar Si Saïd Museum, dedicated to Moroccan carpets and traditional textiles — a must for anyone curious about the country’s rich weaving heritage.
Don’t miss the charming Boucherouite Museum, a private collection that celebrates the vibrant creativity of recycled rag rugs.
At the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, the permanent collection and occasional temporary exhibitions often explore Berber art and Moroccan craftsmanship, while the nearby Musée Pierre Bergé des Arts Berbères in the Majorelle Garden offers a beautifully curated dive into Amazigh culture.
Also worth a visit: the Maison de la Photographie, near the Medersa Ben Youssef, which showcases rare archival photos and sometimes features textiles in context.
Finally, the Musée des Confluences, next to Dar El Bacha, presents exquisite examples of Moroccan decorative arts — including textiles — in an elegant palace setting.

About having a lovely time here and there in Marrakech around a mint tea and pastries, a lovely tajine or a garden...
I have many favorite places in the medina and above, I will share them from time to time here :
A beautiful renovated palace with an amazing patio where you can have tea or a traditional moroccan meal.
