Amazing piece ! This utterly unique little rug is a lovely baby's play area !
Woven by Berber women for their babies, the Zindekh are crafted somewhat like a tapestry.
The Zindekh rugs always have about the same size, roughly 75 x 45 cm, the base of the woven (or embroidered composition is most often a plastic rice bag. Much like the Boucherouite rugs, they are made from wool yarns or recycled textiles.
These miniatures are very free in their composition and color choice, oscillating between abstraction and figurative echoes, reminiscent of contemporary artworks. With a captivating uniqueness, Zindekhs are increasingly coveted by art lovers and collectors. Whether presented on their own, enhanced by a frame, or arranged as a harmonious ensemble, their charm is enchanting. These completely unique pieces are truly a source of wonder for us.
Dive into our collection and discover the whimsical world of Zindekh – where each piece tells a story of the Berber tradition, love and artistry. We regularly add new pieces as we have a huge collection that is on the process of being photographed.
We absolutely love these very unique and playful Zindeck pieces !
Hada Zindekh : The piece showcases a vibrant array of colors, including shades of red, blue, green, beige and brown. The design is rich in symbolism, with various motifs. Abstract small human figures, distinguished by their colorful designs seem to be either dancing or performing some ritual around the central design. Large pronounced hands extend towards the center of the rug, possibly symbolizing protection or nurturing. The borders are decorated with more geometric patterns, using mainly light and brown hues, providing a distinct frame for the central designs.
The rich colors, combined with the intricate patterns and symbols, make this Zindekh a beautiful representation of Berber art and culture.

It's a unique vintage piece
Every vintage rug in our collection has a history that predates its arrival. They may show signs of use or restoration, which adds to their distinctive character. Due to the fact that each rug is handmade and vintage, there may be minor variations in weaving (such as edges or width). We urge potential buyers to examine the pictures closely and to ask any questions they may have.
