This vintage Moroccan rug is a true masterpiece !
It may be a Boujaad, or come from Ait Yacoub, or Zemmour tribe.
The rug is a true feast for the eyes, with a mix of colors and Berber signs in a sophisticated and elegant composition. The design is dense and intricate, with a symmetrical pattern that has variations in the organization of the composition. The faded color scheme is breathtaking, with a rosy background that fades into ivory and orange, as well as dark and light gray for the succession of square patterns repeated all over the composition. The colors create a harmonious balance in the design.
This rug features a diamond center enclosed in a rectangular frame with a different pattern, adding an interesting visual element to the composition.
But perhaps the most intriguing element of this vintage Moroccan rug is the witty touch of a teapot, a kettle, rabbits motifs… hidden within the design... Did you find them ?
